The Grand Palace is a complex of buildings located in Thailand. This place is famous among visitors and every all around the world because of its beauty and the engineering techniques used in the construction of this great place. It was the residing place of Thailand kings from the 18th century.
Anyhow the castle’s construction has been started in 1782. At first, this palace was consisting of a few wooden buildings surrounded by a high strong wall. The wall was approximately 1500-2000 meters in length. Anyway, there were various amendments have been made to the castle from time to time.
So as of now, we can only see a modified palace according to the needs of the King of Thailand, even though it is changed from time to time, they haven’t harmed its original appearance and all other additions are made according to its original design.
The current King of Thailand doesn’t use this palace as his residence place, and he uses a palace called “Chitralada Palace”. The king arranged a ceremony to celebrate the completion of work on this great palace in 1785.
However, the first king who used this palace full time was “King Ananda”. It was in 1945 and after one year of time, he died and it was a mysterious death. So Kings after him didn’t use this place as their permanent residence and they used “Chitralada Palace” for that purpose this place remains a tourist attraction of Thailand and every tourist who visits Thailand never forget to visit this great palace.
