Penang is a state in Malaysia. It is the second smallest state of Malaysia. Its area is about 293 Square kilometers and population is about 720,000. Penang has a normal climate like other Asian countries. Mainly Chinese people live in here. Even this is a small island; it has succeeded in attracting tourists from all around the world.

The main thing is its historic architecture, mainly in George Town. This architecture is older than 100 years and it is famous among the world. At George Town we can see rows of Shop houses and colonial villas . This place was a venue for several historical movies also.

The best way to feel the heritage of Penang is walk around this George Town. The aged buildings are noted for their faded colours and crumbling walls. Old houses have columns or multi-coloured Peranakan tiles.

Another attraction here is the Penang Bridge. Penang is connected to the main land of Malaysia using a Concrete bridge constructed in 1985.The length of this bridge is 13.5 Kilometers. Even recently made some modifications to the bridge to assure its safety, they have not touched its original structure. And due to heavy traffic, currently this bridge is divided in to three lanes.

For public transportation process they have a very good network, which comply with Electric trams, Double Decker, Trolley buses. Also this small island has a rail way tracks over 35 kilometers within its boarder. Apart from these methods, three wheelers and taxi services also operating in Penang.
