Malacca is a state belonging to Malaysia and it is located in the southern region of the Malay Peninsula. It owns an island with an area of 1650 square kilometers. Malacca town is the capital of the state and this historical city has been listed as a world heritage site by UNESCO since July 2008. Earlier the State was governed by a sultan but currently, it is governed by Governor.
The population of Malacca is approximately 760,000 and it is content with Malay, Chinese, Indians, and Kristang. The majority of the population is Malay. It’s around 57% of the total population.

Fort A Famosa
A fort was constructed by the Portuguese in 1511. Even part of its destruction still remains with its original construction and architecture.
St. John’s Fort

The oldest Catholic Church in Malaysia was constructed under the administration of the Dutch in 1710.
Christ Church
Another Catholic church was constructed by Dutch in 1753 and is famous for its Dutch architecture.
Francis Xavier Church
This is a gothic church built by a French priest, in 1949.
Stadthuys
this place was constructed in 1650 and was the residence of the Dutch governor and his deputy today it is a museum with traditional wedding clothes and artifacts.
Jomker Street
This is a famous place for antique goods
Vheng Hoon Teng
is the oldest Chinese temple in Malaysia.
